Members Memorial

WAPVA has commemorated its members who have passed away with a plaque, located in the Highlands East Council Chambers. It is important to honor the memory of those who have helped WAPVA, and the community, grow and develop into what it is today.

A Brief History

WAPVA was formed at the request of the OPP and Senior Officers Ron Buchanen and Ken Wesley in August 1993. Officially formed at the Lloyd Watson center in Wilberforce with 12 members in attendance. Membership has grown in excess of 100 and the association has had offices in Harcourt, Gooderham and Wilberforce but now operates solely out of its office in Wilberforce.
